National Earth Day was first created and celebrated by a senator named Gaylord Nelson in 1970. Gaylord Nelson, a politician and an environmentalist who believed that the issue of having an unprotected and clean environment was never addressed and discussed. This led to him speaking out to the people that this problem needed to be solved.

National Earth Day is often celebrated by taking action to save the world. There are a lot of things that need to be done from picking up trash from the beach and parks to cleaning the air from pollution due to the factories and cars to lowering the usage of water and energy.

If you want to do something, a good start would be to recycle bottles and cans, as well as save water and save energy by taking shorter showers or walking or biking to get around. These small actions will help the environment so much, as well as to make life safer for us to go outside and enjoy the fresh air instead of breathing in the polluted air.

You can also support national earth in many ways whether it’s by posting pictures of you with a group of people cleaning up the beaches or parks on social media, or encourage others to help out.
